When sorrow comes, and tears roll down my face,
And all of my excuses are just lies;
When I turn my gaze downcast in disgrace
And cannot seem to look upon the prize;
When tempests come and cloud the starry sky,
And thunder breaks the silence of the night,
I lie in pools of anguish, and I sigh
Because I've been defeated in my fight.
But when my mind begins to think upon
The wondrous love that our two hearts do share,
The sun comes up and breaks a brilliant dawn;
The sounds of angels' harps pervade the air.
Our love is priceless. It will never end
As long as beauty's Star shall rise again.
