You thought you were doing the right thing.
You thought you were doing what had to be done.
You tore us apart because you thought you were losing her,
And perhaps you were.
But that's part of life, you know.
Now my heart lays shattered on the ground
Because of you.
But I live on,
Gathering the pieces as best I can,
Finding comfort in the realization
That someday you will regret this
Far more than I.
Who she is becoming troubles me,
And you as well.
But I can find another.
You cannot.
I will find happiness.
I will live again.
But when you realize that who she has become
Is your worst nightmare,
Your despair will be eternal, and justice, complete.
Take comfort, as I have, in three simple words.
You did this.
